I enjoyed reading Uni-News to which I sometimes give scant attention. So then I looked at Blogs and went for yours -Yay and congrats on your Fellowship’s continuance. I just read your Dec. writing looking in different ways at the two Christian Testament stories. So good to be reminded of these stories (allegory or not, they speak to us). Thanks! No reader should assume I am the author of all the posts. I, too, found this particular post very resonant and I look forward to more in this series by one of our members. It is recounted in Matthew that 'When Jesus entered Jerusalem the whole city was stirred and asked 'Who is this?' and the crowds answered. Many Unitarians are a bit flummoxed when people ask this question because the question makes so many assumptions that are often not held. If you ask this question to a Unitarian, be prepared to wait for what might be quite a long answer. You will rarely get a simple "yes" or "no".Lucy Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06028742756380492780noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1908696014616332926.post-81318554260515103162015-10-07T12:56:46.479+01:002015-10-07T12:56:46.479+01:00JESUS was not a Christian, but a radical Jew of gr...JESUS was not a Christian, but a radical Jew of great wisdom. It is sad then that the main references to him are found in the Christian Bible, and it is a very good thing that additional gospels and other works have been discovered.Paul Taylornoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1908696014616332926.post-2144208601202291632015-10-07T12:48:26.870+01:002015-10-07T12:48:26.870+01:00The problem is that the question implies the Chris...The problem is that the question implies the Christian view of God, which I emphatically do not. I do believe in the divine presence within and without me which is part of the Universal energy. I and everthing else then is part of that energy, which I know as Goddess and God. I believe Jesus knew that when he said to his disciples The Kingdom of Heaven is within you.Paul Taylornoreply@blogger.com
